St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Victoria, B.C., is a prayerful, thoughtful, loving and diverse community of people seeking to live out their Christian faith within the Anglo-Catholic tradition of reverence and practice.

Whatever your age or condition in life, you will find peace, challenge and friendship here.

Central to our life together is worship, where we encounter the holiness and mystery of God in word and sacrament and in beauty which engages all of our senses. Music is an integral part of our worship. We are proud of the repertoire of our choirs which ranges from Medieval chant to Renaissance polyphony to new commissioned works.

We have a vibrant and active family ministry with a full range of Sunday school classes (including Godly Play), a parent and child drop-in program, youth group and many family-centered events throughout the year.

St. Barnabas offers opportunity for adult faith formation as well as for service both within the parish and to the wider community. This could mean serving on the pastoral care team, contributing to the Friday Communion or participating in ‘tea talks.’

The parish community gathers after Mass each Sunday to share lunch together. If you are worshiping with us for the first time, a place for you has already been set.

If you are new to St. Barnabas and would like more information about St. Barnabas or would like to speak to the Rector, please do not hesitate to drop by the office or to call us at (250) 595-4324. At St. Barnabas you will find many opportunities to serve God and to grow in faith. We look forward to seeing you.
