Come to the Advent Spiral!
Come and rest in this moment of quiet beauty, when our senses are subdued and the inner spirit, renewed.
In this event, we enact the coming of the Light of Christ into the darkness of our world. “For Thou wilt light my candle; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness”- the Psalmist’s plea of faith perfectly expresses what we do as we bring our small candles to the Larger Light and by its illumination, see our way along the spiral path shaped for us by the tree boughs. Outwardly, we are reminding ourselves of what we are called to do inwardly, allowing the Light of Christ to kindle our spirits that we might see the way forward on our individual journeys.
The church hall of St. Barnabas will be unusually quiet! It will become a Holy Place and we are all invited to share in it.
Come to the Advent Spiral. Come and see the Light, hear the music of the harp, experience the fragrance of the fresh tree boughs, walk the spiral path and perhaps be held close to the heart of God.
