A gathering for food, fun, and fellowship will be held at Willow’s Beach Park on Saturday, September 2nd from 11 am until 2 pm. This is sponsored by the Elders’ Network, but not limited to Elders.  All who are free to come are invited.  Bring your own ready to eat food, something to drink, something to share, and a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and be prepared to enjoy a good time with others.  If you need a ride, please contact Robbi Birch. We want to provide a venue for those who cannot get to Robert’s Creek, but would still like to be together on the long weekend.

The Lay Pastoral Care Ministry: Is presently in need of individual meals for the freezer in the Hall.  The need continues year round.  Containers or freezer bags, labelled as to content and whether allergen free (e.g. gluten, lactose, nut)  may be brought to church on Sunday morning, or to the office during Jessica’s regular hours.  Questions may be directed to Alison Lockhart.

St. Matthias Presents two concerts: “On Wings of Song”, September 8, 2017, 7:30pm. Featuring Sandra Fletcher on piano, Arlene Overman Mezzo Soprano and Mayu Kiotabashi on Flute. Some of the selections will be by Steckmest, Reinecke and Chaminade. October 2, 2017 Emmet Cahill from Celtic Thunder on his first Canadian stop of his solo summer tour. Diocesan Fall Women`s Retreat October 20-22nd:  At Camp Pringle, Shawnigan Lake. The themes for this year are: A Rule of Life, Loving God, Loving Neighbor, and Loving Self. Facilitated by The Rev.
