Preschool Vote Outcome: The initiative was passed, with 62 voting in favour, and 4 against. Thank you to everyone who participated and especially to those who took the time to communicate their thoughts to the leadership. Corpus Christi Service of Solemn Evensong & Benediction: Thursday, June 15th, 7pm.  It has been a few years since St. Barnabas celebrated Corpus Christi with Evensong & Benediction, but it is a tradition of this parish that we are happy to revive. This is a beautiful choral service of mediation on the gift of Christ`s presence to us in the Holy Sacrament.

Save the Date! Our Annual Garden Party at Lady Elizabeth Chatfield’s home will be held Saturday, July 22nd. Everyone is invited to this lovely tea in her award-winning gardens.

Amazing Journey Summer Day Camp 2017 for Elementary and Pre-School Aged Children–July 10th–14th. This half-day program (mornings 9 am to 12 noon), sponsored by St. Luke Cedar Hill and Lutheran Church of the Cross, will be held at Church of the Cross this year. We are planning an amazing and exciting week! We’ll be singing and dancing, making crafts, playing games, and listening to Bible stories as we talk about ancient Rome, the early church, and Paul’s adventures.

Safe Church Workshops: at St. Luke’s, Cedar Hill, Saturday, June 17th, 9:00 am – noon OR Monday, June 19th 6:30 – 9:30 pm. The purpose of the Safe Church Program is to ensure that our parishes are places of safety and wholeness for those who come to us seeking the love of Christ, and to ensure that all of our volunteers and employees are aware of their own personal safety and are equipped to manage their own personal risk. Safe Church training is a required by the Diocese (every three years) for ministry volunteers in positions of power such as parish council members, and for those working with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults.

Summer Program Coordinator Position at St. Luke’s–Working with St. Luke’s Youth Director, the Summer Program Coordinator will plan, promote, and implement Christian-based youth programs for children and youth ages 3 to 17 years. This position is for a full-time post-secondary student registered in the previous academic year, and intending to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
